Chapter 13

For most people, the attorney fee and filing fee can paid through the Chapter 13 plan, so these costs do not need to be paid before the case can be filed.

Chapter 7

In most cases, the Hurst Law Firm only charges a fee of $850.00.  Some cases can be very complicated and may require a larger fee, but this would be agreed upon before filing.  The Bankruptcy Court does charge a filing fee of $335.00.  The filing fee though, can be paid after the Chapter 7 is filed.
